Google Image Equity
In Our Image

In Our Image was a multi-city event series created to address the systemic bias embedded within photographic technology that have historically failed people of color with darker skin tones. Produced across events in New York City and Los Angeles, the program created space for open dialogue around Image Equity, bringing together photographers, technologists, creatives, and cultural leaders to share lived experiences. The series concluded with the launch of Google Pixel’s Real Tone camera technology, a step toward more accurate and inclusive representation in digital imaging.

Every touchpoint from stage design , fabricated structures, printed signage, educational displays, and branded materials, were intentionally crafted to reinforce the message of equity, visibility, and representation, ensuring the experience felt both culturally resonant and forward-thinking while amplifying Google’s commitment to inclusive technology.
